This is my information exchange page for members of my
family, including our genealogical information. Family names being
researched are:
Allerton, Berry, Boyne, Byrum, Chamberlain, Fairbanks, Garrison, Larimer, Martin,
Mater, Meguire, Metcalf, Morey, Murphy, Paulus, Reynolds, Rhines, Ware, Williams, and more. I found, my Wares, back through the Byrums, ancestors from 65 AD. My oldest is Boudica, Queen of the Icenians. She defeated the Romans in battle, but they came back in force. In order not to be captured, she took poison and died in 65 AD. I found information about her on Wikipedia. Next is Arhefrith, b. 955 in Denmark, who died in York England. I also descend from the old Anglo Saxon Kings of England. Egbert was my 39th Great Grandfather, Ethelwulf, was my 38th Great Grandfather, Alfred the Great was my 37th Great Grandfather. I am related to King John of Robin Hood and Magna Carta fame. He was called John Lackland because he not only didn't increase the lands of Britain, but lost land. He was my 22nd Great Grandfather. Sources for this are "The Monarchs of Britain," history books and on line sites. In America the Wares can claim Isaac Allerton as an ancestor, he was my 9th great grandfather and came over on the Mayflower. I have had no luck locating my ex-husbands Indian Ancestry. His Grandfather Herman Alonzo Mater was full booded Acoma Indian. But I can find no trace of him. In all the censuses he is listed as white, he was "passing" and maybe his parents were too. He was born in Buda, Texas in 1872. It may take a trip to Buda, Texas to find anything."
